OK, we are open! So, come on up.
(Actually, we live here year-round, so
give us a call and join us just about anytime of the year that you need to Make A Memory in the Mountains.tm)
Like us on Facebook!
Indian Creek Camplands is just about the
most rugged, private camping experience available to you. We don't have a regular shower house... and we don't
have RV hook-ups... but, we do have some of the best night skies you will ever see.
If you have a tent or just a bedroll, we do have the most rugged mountain camping you
will find on the East Coast. Oh, be sure to bring your own tent pegs... you won't be close enough to share pegs
with other campers unless you really want to do that... and bring those people with you. The photos of multiple tents
in the same picture are from group or family camping. You really don't see strangers here.

Well
now! How about those celestial events that happened in August:
A couple of nights with meteorite showers followed within days by
a solar eclipse! Indian Creek Camplands is just a little bit closer to the stars than most places... the views from
here were awesome and we helped a lot of people "Make a Memory in the Mountains"sm
Don't fret if you missed these memories... we will
help you work on some very special ones that may suit your style bit more uniquely. We do that here at Indian Creek
Camplands.

Hey, partner, when was the last time you camped with your horse? We can make that happen here...
you bring the horse and we'll open a special area for you to set up your portable corral or create a hobble area for your
trusty steed.
*******************************************
For regular camping, privacy is what we do best. Well behaved pets and kids are welcomed; please keep the unruly and undisciplined somewhat restrained.
*******************************************
Unlike other campgrounds, we can accommodate very large groups of campers in several very
private areas... some of these sites are acres in size and are perfect for bachelor parties, family reunions, and wilderness
re-enactors.
At most of our sites, you may not see any other campers; and, likely, they won't see
you. Seems fair to us. We hear that privacy is what most people want and why they come back here time after time.
So, if you want to camp at a place that has mowed grass
like some middle class backyard... and pay for that experience... don't come here. The only paved road at the Camplands
is the one that goes to the house... and the house is never rented out. Too bad, actually, that really big porch is something
special and the family does enjoy it.
We do sometimes
make the pavilion available for rental; contact us for information.
What we do have to share: deep and steep woods, huge rocks, ancient trails, cool springs, Raslers Run... and
a private bit of Indian Creek. And talking frogs. We are joking about talking frogs. But we do have an old goat
that just might talk your ear off.
Ohiopyle,
the whitewater of the Youghiogheny River, and Fallingwater are nearby. See those once and stay here for days. People
do that. Folks are talking about the Bald Eagles that appear now and then. Seriously,
bring the camera!
We do have the requirement for
a cash security deposit. The deposits start at $25 for a single, small tent campsite and goes up
a bit for larger groups. Call and we'll tell you all about it. Leave your footprints... take your
trash to our dumpsters... and haul your gear, pictures, and memories home with you. Keep your
site as clean as we gave it to you and you will go home with your deposit. It is that
simple.
We are still the best value for that
real private camping experience. Those who have camped here agree and keep coming back. We encourage you to compare
prices; just keep in mind that there is no comparable camping area and experience anywhere. Things here are that wild,
rugged, and except for the creek, every other place is usually up a steep hill from wherever you are.
Special Note about glass bottles: Please bring your beverages in cans
or plastic bottles. Glass bottles often create hazards for kids, dogs, horses, people, and our goats.
Special Note about NO SHOWS: We understand
that plans can change with the weather and the traffic. If we are expecting you, please show up or call 724-455-7900.
Otherwise we will tend to stay-up too late waiting for you and not speak kindly about you the next day.
Once you decide to camp here, call first and we'll make sure to save a special spot
for you and give you a chance to
Make A Memory in the
Mountainssm
